Member's bio: Amy Thompson

Amy Thompson is an Ottawa-based mixed media artist and Art Director. She studied Fine Art at York University and graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design (Toronto/Florence, Italy) with Honours in 1995. Returning to Ottawa, she became a member of the Enriched Bread Artists in 2002. Her work has been exhibited in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Paris. Exhibitions include Drawn: The Primary Mark, Diane Farris Gallery, Vancouver 2009; Haunt, Dale Smith Gallery, Ottawa 2007; Candy; Diane Farris Gallery, Vancouver 2008; Decade; Katherine Mulherin Art Projects, Toronto 2008; Animalia, Ottawa Art Gallery, October 2006; Kinder, Dale Smith Gallery, Ottawa, 2006. Her work has been featured in the pages of Vogue Girl (Korea) and AU Agenda (Spain), as well as in imagery for album covers for Jim Bryson and My Dad vs. Yours.
