studio space for rent
Finding adequate and affordable studio space is not an easy thing to do in Ottawa. We know we're lucky to be here. Unfortunately, we do not have any spaces available at this time but we do have a waiting list.
Submissions are reviewed and juried 3 times a year by the membership. If you are an artist interested in putting your name on our waiting list, please send the items listed below.
- Letter of interest
- Artistic Statement
- Resume (include education, awards, publications, grants, exhibition history, where applicable)
- 10 images of art work and/or video to a maximum of 5 minutes. (see details below)
- Documentation list with works listed chronologically. Include title, date, medium and dimensions.
Documentation Requirements
Both digital images and slides are accepted though digital images are preferred.
The digital images should conform to the specifications below and be placed on a CD-ROM.
- JPEG images files
- PC-compatible file
- Maximum resolution of 72 dpi
- Maximum image size of 1024 x 768 pixels (height must not exceed 768 pixels)
- Maximum file size of 1MB
- RGB, sRGB or Greyscale colour mode files
The slides should each have a number and label including title and artist name. Place a red dot on the slide to indicate the lower left corner.
No images, videos or documentation will be accepted if they do not conform to the above guidelines.
Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials
